Buffet Chain Opens First Location in Dutchess County
Golden Corral, the nation’s largest grill-buffet chain, announced plans to expand franchise locations with a new restaurant in Poughkeepsie, New York. The store will open to the public on Friday, January 27.
The new Golden Corral is located at 2345 South Road. Restaurant hours are 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. It is the sixth Golden Corral location in the state of New York.
The Poughkeepsie restaurant is owned by franchisee Sherrance Henderson. Along with offering guests a good meal at a great price, the addition of a Golden Corral to the area will provide jobs for restaurant management, chefs and staff. It will employ 140 hourly workers and five managers.
“We are very pleased to open the newest Golden Corral in Poughkeepsie and continue to expand our footprint in the Northeast,” said Bob McDevitt, Golden Corral’s Senior Vice President of Franchise Development. “We appreciate all of the eager anticipation and patience from the residents of Poughkeepsie for our opening. Golden Corral looks forward to being a part of the local community for many years to come.”
